1920's Mining Shack becomes LEED Gold Certified Efficient Custom Home

Some might say this is a home with a split personality. Originally built in the 1920s as a mining shack, it manages to stay true to its roots. With its original wood floors, siding, roofing and turn-of-the-century fireplace, the old part of the house retains its funky style.

The addition blends the latest in design, comfort and technology with design, comfort and technology with energy-efficient construction. Its clean lines, metal railings, walnut floor and beautiful tile countertops are a delight to the senses.

Tall Pines Construction built this home to the latest NAHB Green Building Standards. Designed by Park City architect Bill Mammen and interior designer Kay Mammen.
