Achieving LEED Platinum Status: What It Took
Becoming a LEED Certified project requires several steps, ultimately applying an overview of the project to the USGBC (the United States Green Building Counsel). Throughout the design and building process, we take careful notes and documentation of our innovative green designs and then submit this information as part of our application.

The application is reviewed by the USGBC and given a total number of points. Depending on the number of green designs added to the project, you will receive more or fewer points—to receive LEED Platinum certification, you need to have 80+ points. With all the inventive green features we added to this home, we hit 80+ points with ease.
